General Assembly appoints AtLee to Circuit Court

"He will be a great addition to the Circuit Court," Miller said. Gear's retirement from the House of Delegates in December due to health reasons opened the door for AtLee's election to the court. "Prior to this we weren't able to get everybody on board," Miller said. "But some of the players have changed and that has been helpful."

Federal debt ceiling impasse could impact Virginia transportation

"There are consequences of doing nothing," Miller said. "I'm hopeful it will be resolved and we will not have to go through this. It's going to cost the taxpayers of Virginia a significant amount of money and a reduction in the amount of projects that can be completed."

Governor lauds Hampton students for success with striped bass bill

Four-grader Faith Love said it was hard work to get the bill passed, but that her class was able to succeed with the help of a lot of good people. State Sen. John Miller, who sponsored the bill, visited Ferrel's class multiple times to talk to the students about how the process would work.
